Tools That Demand Attention

I’ve started to distrust tools that constantly demand attention.

Notifications, badges, reminders —
they assume urgency where there often is none.

The best tools I use don’t ask to be seen.

They wait.

Attention should be pulled by necessity,
not pushed by design.
